Now let’s get started. Here is what we are going to do:
Step 1: Take the styrofoam disk and mark it at the center point. Then divide the six points at the outside. For marking the 7 points (one in the middle and six on the outside) us a pen or pencil. Usually it is recommended to use pencils since they don’t get imbibed from the styrofoam.
Step 2: Get a sharp knife, and cut a notch into one of the sections of the Styrofoam on the outside where the ring decoration will be added as part of the base for the centerpiece. Insert the fist ring decoration into the notch.
Step 3: We now have one into place and we continue around the circle until all six rings have been inserted into the base.
Step 4: All six rings have now been inserted into the centerpiece. It is recommended to add some hot glue over each ring to make sure the will remain secure on the styrofoam disk. Additionally, you can add some scrap gift wrap ribbon to the side of the disk to cover the border. Again the color depends on your general wedding theme. Through color coordination you’ll make sure that your centerpieces will blend into perfectly.
Step 5: To cover the top of the styrofoam add some gift basket shred. Be sure to work the shred between each of the rings, until the entire surface is covered. You can also use some soap flowers as an option for this step to cover the top of the disk.
Step 6: Once you have all the shred into place, take a little hot glue lift up small sections of the shred, apply the glue and then put the shred back into place.
Step 7: Take the ivy bowl which you can fill up with crystals or plastic pearls and add some water.
Step 8: For our final step place the soap candles into the bowl. And that’s it. You are all done.
It’s just that easy and the great thing about these kinds of decorations is that you just swap a few items and viola. The bridal shower centerpiece has just changed into a great wedding centerpiece.
